Type of Employment

  • Full-Time or Part Time Positions Available

  • Schedules in June and September are done weekly and will depend on guest count. Hours are directly related to business, June will be mostly part time, except for core full-time crew.

  • Scheduling in July and August are a set schedule for both months and are the same for both months.

Location

Northern Lights Saloon is an off grid restaurant and bar located 1 mile from the Glacier National Park northwest entrance in the small town of Polebridge, Montana. Polebridge is located on a dirt road that is an hour from town and sees more than 1,000,000 people come through in a summer. This job requires a “ work hard play hard” mentality. There are about 200 people living in Polebridge community in the summer, there will be about 20 people that work at the saloon and 25 that work at the Mercantile. These like minded people will become your friends, neighbors and confidants to explore the abundance of activities in this Northwest corner of never ending adventures.

Travel Requirements

A car is not needed to live in Polebridge. Polebridge is in Flathead County with the closest town, Columbia Falls being 1 hour away. Rides can easily be arranged with other staff members. One can find all amenities needed in Columbia Falls. Kalispell is a nearby larger town with movie theater, mall, large box stores and other common needs. West Glacier entrance is also 40 minutes from Polebridge and offers supplies (at a cost) and a local bar as well as many adventures and friends to be made.

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are limited wall-tents available for employees. Priority will be given to full time employees. A work-camp will be provided for emplyees with access to showers at the North Fork Cabins, approximately 4 miles south of the Saloon.

  • Each tent space is provided with a twin bed and storage space.

  • No electricity or running water is available in wall tents.

  • We live in bear country and therefore do not allow any food or toiletries in the wall tents.

  • Tents will need to be broken down and cleaned at end of season by employees.

  • Housing and RV options may be available on a limited, first-come, first-serve basis.

  • All positions require someone with a high degree of character

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting with high demand for consistency and hard work

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them on time

  • Show up on time, consistently with a positive attitude and willingness to do the work

  • A flexible schedule that allows you to work weekends and holidays if needed
